The link above shows the full list released by Mythic for their launch server names...
I'll setup two separate threads with polls for an Order server and a Destruction server...
I will limit it to North American Core Ruleset servers for both...

Question is, should we try an RvR server?

I vote for RvR

All servers have RvR aspect but I think Gor was postulating whether or not we wanted an openRvR...and I for one do not
At least not for the primary server to play on...

OpenRvR is where you can be attacked anywhere, anytime except in the capital city when it is not under siege and in the starter zone...

Having spent nearly 2 years of my WoW life on a PVP server, I can handle an OpenRvR server, but I really don't prefer it. The amount of time you spend defending yourself and your kinsmen really cuts into the amount of time you spend actually questing and enjoying game content. This goes even for scenarios, as you are usually doing things while waiting your turn in queue.

I think a Core server is a fine option. It gives you the ability to RvR when you want to, and there are areas in game that are already contested/RvR regardless. If you want more action than that, there are plenty of scenarios (a la WoW Battlegrounds) to give you a thrill.

Core servers are fine with me.

I want to start on Core, graduate to Open. I think if we have a good group playing, Open could be fun and ganking should be minimal. After looking at the rulesets, it seems they have a mechanic in the game to punish you if you drop down to a lower tier to fight.

Well Mythic has thrown a wrench in the works...
They are staggering the roll-out of servers based on the Collector's Edition pre-order Head Start and the Standard Edition Head Start...see here and here...
The CE servers open up at 1PM EDT on Sunday, 14 Sep...and the SE ones 2 days later...the wrinkle here is if the CE servers fill-up then those with the SE pre-order may not be able to roll a char on the capacity filled CE server...Mythic sure is making it tough to play together...or maybe I am just over-analyzing the situation...

I know we have at least two who are CE pre-orders, myself and Cage...anyone else???

CE preorder here. I just checked and Thorgrim is not even on the list. I will go down the voting order until I find a server that is up. 12:01 is the official start time now.
